How Much Notice Does a Landlord Have to Give a Tenant to Move out in New Jersey?

In most non-punitive cases, a New Jersey landlord must provide their tenant with 30 days of notice if they intend for one of their tenants to move out without cause. However, in a situation where the move out request comes in the form of an eviction, a landlord may reduce this notice period down to 3 days (for illegal behavior) or even no days at all (for late rent payments).
