How Much Can a Landlord Charge for a Security Deposit in Colorado?

Colorado caps security deposits at a maximum of one month’s rent for mobile homes, and two months’ rent for other housing types. If the tenant has pets, a landlord can also charge up to an additional $300 as a pet deposit. Local ordinances and regulations may also restrict the total amount of a security deposit.
