Is Maryland a “Landlord Friendly” State?

Maryland may be considered a “landlord friendly” state in so far as housing prices there are fairly high currently. Along the same lines, a landlord may find Maryland’s laws at least partially friendly because it allows them some leeway when it comes to deciding entry rights. However, the state is also notably unfriendly to landlords because it allows local jurisdictions to initiate a rent control program at any time.
