Can You Use the Security Deposit as Last Month’s Rent in Kansas?

This question is about Kansas Security Deposit Law

In Kansas, the security deposit may not be used as last month’s rent unless its use is agreed upon in the lease agreement. If the tenant fails to pay the final month’s rent and intends to use the security deposit without an agreement, they forfeit their right to receive a security deposit return while still being liable for the unpaid rent.
