Can tenants withhold rent for repairs in Florida? on iPropertyManagement.com

Tenants may withhold rent in Florida if the landlord has failed to make necessary repairs within 20 days of being given notice. Once repairs have been made, the tenant must pay the withheld rent. If repairs are not made, tenants may have the right to end the lease early without penalty (Fla. Stat. § 83.201).
